The Macrae Foundation is announcing its first Fellowship Grant Award search. This grant underscores our commitment to advancing the level of research in infectious disease and its intervention strategies, by offering Fellows placements within world-class research teams for a 1-year period of time, via our Lab Exchange Program.
The initial Fellowship Grant, The Macrae Foundation’s Viroscience Lab Award, will provide our first Fellow with the opportunity to work under the supervision of Professor Albert D.M.E. Osterhaus and his highly acclaimed team at their Viroscience Laboratory in Rotterdam.
Our Fellow will have the phenomenal opportunity of being mentored by Professor Osterhaus, whose stellar thirty year career in animal and human virology has led to the identification of twenty new viruses. The continuous, groundbreaking work of the world-renowned “virus hunter” has helped identify and control the spread of deadly viruses across the globe. The Viroscience Lab Award Fellowship will focus on the discovery/and or pathogenesis of respiratory viruses.
