Cathryn Macrae, Founder and Chairman of the Board
Cathryn Macrae has been bringing together opinion leaders in science, medicine, government and private industry since 1990, forging strategic alliances and creating collaborative consortiums with the goal of advancing and disseminating scientific research.
Cathryn is passionate about bridging the gap in scientific knowledge between developed and developing countries and has traveled widely to facilitate the flow of important research and information. Her deep experience planning and heading global educational initiatives has included the creation of programs and partnerships with such major international organizations as WHO, NIH, CDC, DOD and MOH.
The seed for The Macrae Foundation grew out of Ms. Macrae’s highly acclaimed International Symposia, which provide a platform for reporting and sharing cutting edge information in the field of infectious disease. Her ongoing support of young researchers is manifest in the foundation’s Fellowship program which pairs budding and world-renowned scientist’s to propel scientific inspiration and discovery.
Caroline Humer, Director
Caroline Humer is a manager of the Global Missing Children’s Network (GMCN) a resource that uses technology to disperse photographs and information about missing children to nineteen countries across four continents. Her experience building and coordinating international efforts to create child alert programs around the world, as well as her success building partnerships to develop awareness for these programs brings a unique talent, understanding, skill and passion to The Macrae Foundation.
Robert J. Graff, Director
Robert Graff is a private investor with many decades experience in asset management and banking. He has worked as both Vice President and Managing Director at JP Morgan/Chase and its predecessor, Chemical Bank.
Mr. Graff recently served as Sales Manager for the Americas at Blue Bay Asset Management with responsibility for asset gathering in the Foundation and Endowment, Family Office and Pension Fund Space. He is currently managing private portfolios comprised of equities, fixed income, futures and options.
During his tenure as Managing Director at JP Morgan/Chase Mr. Graff was responsible for a staff of 41 sales professionals in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Rochester and Houston. Prior to that he was Vice President and Sales Manager at First Boston Corp., with distribution responsibility for the entire northeast.
Mr. Graff brings his wide-ranging experience in finance, banking, asset management and capital generation to bear in his role as Director, at The Macrae Foundation.
